I run a Macramé business on Etsy (since 2020), later expanded to Amazon and my own website.

The accountant I was using at the time was a one-man-band and soon gave notice after just a couple of months due to the complexity of reconciling hundreds of transactions a week including sales and purchase V.A.T. across multiple platforms and countries!
I realised quite early on that I needed a specialist so I simply Googled “E-Commerce Accountant” and they popped right up!
At the end of each month I simply check I have uploaded any receipts or invoices to Dext, make sure the bank feed is still “live” in Xero and answer any queries that may arise from time to time. Other than that I can get on with running my business for the rest of the month knowing that the book keeping and accounts are being taken care of.
Lewis Hollet has helped make the whole process very straightforward and I would like to thank him for his diligence in chasing me if I forget to send through any purchase invoices!
